John 20:1-9, Bolstered Faith

“Then the other follower went in—the one who had reached the tomb first. He saw what had happened and believed. (These followers did not yet understand from the Scriptures that Jesus must rise from death.)”

‭‭John‬ ‭20‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭ERV‬‬

Read Context

John’s critical thinking helped him to see that Jesus body was not stolen, but that he was raised from the dead.  Although that is what the evidence pointed to, that was not what they were expecting!  Even though Jesus plainly told them the plan, it was so out of the ordinary, that it was impossible to imagine without knowing the events that took place.

Lord, help me to be careful in my review of what you are doing in my life.  Allow me to see your fingerprints on the circumstances around me so that it builds my faith and trust in you!
