Psalm 143- Historic Evidence

“I remember the days of old; I meditate on all you have done; I reflect on the work of your hands. Let me experience your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in you. Reveal to me the way I should go because I appeal to you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me on level ground.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭143‬:‭5‬, ‭8‬, ‭10‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Read Context

What a blessing to have history with God, to be able to look back and see His fingerprints on every situation in life.  Sometimes it is hard and may seem impossible to know what God is doing today in the midst of trial or even a terrible circumstance.  The emotions that jostle us prevent our ability to see Gods work.  At those times, it is imperative that we look back and mediate on what God has done.  This should give us confidence in what God can do in the present misery, even when it seems hopeless.

Thankfully, even people who have not followed God long enough to have their own stories can read the Bible or talk to others who have known Him for a long time.  God always shows up, ready to help, protect, guide and lead.

Lord, help me trust You, follow You and delight in You!  Help me to see how I am trusting in my own ability and remind me of the disaster that awaits along that path!  I need You Lord, every moment I need You!
