Proverbs 4- Open Ears

“Listen, sons, to a father’s discipline, and pay attention so that you may gain understanding, for I am giving you good instruction. Don’t abandon my teaching. Don’t abandon wisdom, and she will watch over you; love her, and she will guard you. Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭2‬, ‭6‬, ‭23‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Read Context

Lord, help me to listen, to hear and understand what it is You are teaching me. Your Word is full of wisdom so allow me to see what You are instructing… Trials also bring wisdom, so bring me insight to what I need to learn.  Help me put the pieces together to comprehend Your instruction and help me not be confused by my own pride…help me to see it for what it is.  Allow me to identify it and sift it out of my thinking, so that I can see clearly to the lessons You want to teach me…

I wish this were not so hard!  I wish that I was better at seeing Your lessons but as You have made me, give me eyes to see and ears to hear what You have for me today!
