Psalm 140- Mind Guardian

“I say to the Lord, “You are my God.” Listen, Lord, to my cry for help. Lord, my Lord, my strong Savior, you shield my head on the day of battle. I know that the Lord upholds the just cause of the poor, justice for the needy. Surely the righteous will praise your name; the upright will live in your presence.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭140‬:‭6‬-‭7‬, ‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Read Context

“you shield my head on the day of battle“

This line stood out to me because so many times the battle to follow Christ is mostly in my head.  I love the recognition that we need protection and salvation from the thoughts we have.  Secondly, God is a strong Savior, able to stand against every attack. That is definitely who I want on my side, as my protector.

Lord, thank You for loving me and guarding my mind.  I need you every moment of every day.  I am so blessed by how You care for me even though I continue to fail, continue to have weakness and fall into sin.  I love You!
