The things that we sing are burned deeply into our hearts and minds. The music, rhythm and repetition make a permanent imprint that changes how I think, feel and act. There are old hymns that I have not heard in 35yrs that I know the melody of and can sing along with…I remember almost nothing from last week let alone 30+yrs ago…except songs!
Lord, thank you for creating song and music that we can praise You. It is a blessing to see and remember all that You are doing in me. Let my meditation be on the blessings You provide and the infinite ways You save me!
