This section of scripture came with perfect timing.  I have been trying to be effective in accomplishing my job, but progress has been slow.  There are so many legitimate things that require my attention, that I have very little time left to do the truly important things in my position.

We have been called to "...do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men,
knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve" (Colossians 3:23-24).  When I am not effective, I am not serving Christ as I should.  My work related activities are a direct reflection of what Christ has done in me.

Are you displaying Christ in your work?  Lord help me to make the most of the time you have given me!
